- Controls vibration transfer from pumps, chillers, and thermal expansion
- Maintains continuous linear pipe alignment across long suspended runs
Key Performance Benefits
- Noise Reduction: Up to 18 dB reduction in structure-borne vibration noise
- Pipe Protection: EPDM lining prevents surface scoring, corrosion, and insulation damage
- Thermal Flexibility: Rubber remains flexible during temperature cycling (-20°C to +110°C)
- Installation Flexibility: Can be installed before or after pipe is in place (open clamp design)
Typical Installation Locations
- Ceiling-mounted horizontal distribution mains
- Long-span HVAC chilled water and hot water lines
- Plumbing risers transitioning to horizontal branches
- Fire protection sprinkler mains and standpipe feeds
- Equipment room overhead piping and condensate drains

Installation Requirements
Pre-Installation Checklist
- Calculate total pipe weight: (pipe + insulation + fluid) × length between supports
- Verify ceiling anchor capacity: minimum 3× calculated load per support point
- Select proper rod size per load table (M8 for light loads, M10 for heavy)
- Ensure EPDM temperature rating matches system operating temperature
- Confirm clamp size accommodates pipe OD including any coating or tape
Installation Procedure
- Install ceiling anchor and threaded rod
Use concrete expansion anchors (5 MPa minimum substrate strength) or beam clamps rated for load
Rod length = ceiling height to pipe centerline + adjustment allowance
- Prepare pipe hanger assembly
Open clamp by removing side screw (M6)
Inspect EPDM lining for damage or contamination
Verify rod thread engagement (minimum 3 full threads into top bore)
- Position pipe in clamp
Lift pipe into position or open clamp around existing pipe
Center pipe in EPDM lining channel – ensure full 360° contact
- Close and secure clamp
Align clamp halves and insert M6 side screw
Tighten gradually in stages to avoid deforming EPDM lining
Recommended torque: 8–10 Nm for M6 side screw
CRITICAL: Do not overtighten – rubber should compress slightly but not extrude
- Verify alignment and load distribution
Check pipe alignment with laser level or string line
Adjust threaded rod length if needed for proper elevation
Confirm spacing matches design (see load capacity table)
Verify no pipe sag between support points
