Structural Requirements
- Verify rod tensile capacity is adequate for total pipe weight + fluid load + safety factor (minimum 4:1)
- Select anchor bolt or beam clamp that matches rod diameter and structural member capacity
- Ensure structural support (concrete slab, steel beam) can handle the imposed load
Installation Procedure
- Anchor Installation: Secure rod to structural support using appropriate anchor bolt, expansion anchor, or beam clamp
- Vertical Alignment: Level and adjust rod height for consistent alignment across the support run
- Hanger Connection: Attach pipe hanger, strut bracket, or equipment support to rod using hex nuts and washers
- Load Transfer: Position pipe or equipment and secure final assembly
- Locking: Apply lock nuts or lock washers where vibration or thermal movement is expected
